Conferences and organizations
Making connections, to make a difference
Antenna attends about 25 conferences and events each year. We frequently hosts networking parties along with our many friends. We are renowned for bringing an industry guest list that adds spice to receptions hosted by investment bankers and lawyers.
Antenna provides marketing communication services to many cleantech-focused conferences, associations, networks, industry reports and not-for-profit organizations. Clients have included the California Clean Energy Fund (CalCEF), CalCEF Angel Fund Network, the Clean Edge Report, the Cleantech Group, the Clean Tech Open, IBF Summit on Cleantech Investing, IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference, Grid Week, New Energy Finance, the Santa Barbara Summit on Energy Efficiency, the US-China Summit, and the Uptime Institute on Data Center Efficiency.
Looking ahead, we are interested in expanding our involvement with organizations focused on green building, geothermal, wind technology, the smart grid, and environmental protection. We particularly enjoy and are highly effective at promoting interesting industry reports.
Providing PR services for conferences requires exceptional creativity.
Many media present their own conferences and may view your event as competition. Most members of the media believe that upcoming conferences should rightly be buying the advertising that pays their salaries, rather than getting free promotion through their content. But there are still plenty of creative tools including social media outreach, blogger conversations, calendar coverage and self-published content like press releases and opinion pieces.
Antenna excels at attracting influential media guests to attend your event, and hosting them to ensure they gain access to thought leaders and executives. For that courtesy the media will usually dateline their stories from the event or otherwise reference it. This coverage can add substantial value for your event's speakers, sponsors and paid exhibitors. Good media reportage enhances cachet for future events.
Some of Antenna's best contributions for an upcoming event can be our creative input into program planning and access to excellent speakers. For conferences, PR is best considered a long-term investment in brand building.
