Situation
Supporting a corporate rebrand, Beckerman partnered with Ten-X (formerly Auction.com) to position the marketplace as a value-add transaction management tool that improves the efficiency of investment sales brokers
Approach
- Developed a new messaging platform to hone value proposition to brokers
- Revamped transaction announcements to put brokers on equal footing as Ten-X
- Created a matrix of users that could provide positive testimonials, and leveraged case studies in as many media opportunities as possible
- Aggressively pursued opportunities for Ten-X research team to provide outlook on market environment; building credibility for Ten-X as an expert on the industry it is disrupting
Results
- 275+ media placements / 90 interviews = 1.2 billion in impressions for 2017 (75% growth in impressions YoY)
- 78% YoY increase in adoption of Ten-X among CRE brokers (2016 to 2017)
- Company named a ’unicorn’ (over a billion-dollar valuation) in 2017
